PROGRAM COACHES
All Striders coaches are NCCP certified.
The coaching staff are all volunteers and most have been with the club for many years.

HEAD COACH: Scott Spencer.
Scott has been with the Striders for the past 6 years. He started assisting with coaching in 2005. Scott is a level I NCCP Speed Skating coach and is also an accomplished skater at the Masters level. Scott's son Kurtis a member of the Competitive Group.

TECHNICAL COACH: Rick Hunt
Rick has been coaching Speed Skating (and many other sports) for ?? years. He is a former Masters level competitor and is now moving up the ladder as a qualified Speed Skating Referee. We expect to see Rick refereeing at the National level in the near future. Both of Rick's sons (Ben and Zack) are former members of the Striders although they no longer skate with the club.

MORNING COACH: Dave Marcassa.
Dave is a level II NCCP Speed Skating Coach. He has been coaching for ?? years. Dave still competes regularly in short track speed skating competitions.

COACH: Ben Young
Ben is a former skater with the QUinte Blades (Belleville) and has skated with the KSSSC over the past few years. This is his second year of coaching with KSSSC.
COACH: Christina Walsh
This is Christina's first year with KSSSC as a coach.
FORMER COACH: Dave Ramsden.
Dave is a level III NCCP Speed Skating Coach. He has been coaching for many years, the last 7 with the Striders. Dave is no longer with the Striders but I am confident his spirit remains. Dave has moved to NWT and we will miss him dearly, who else can yell that LOUD!!!!
